Before your start treatment, let your doctor know:

You use contact lenses. You cannot use contact lenses while on treatment with BLENREP

Icon

You have recently started, or are currently, taking any other medications, or if you have any allergies

Icon

You are a driver, as BLENREP may cause problems with your eyes that may affect your ability to drive or use machines

Icon

You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or thinking about having a child, as you will be advised to go for fertility counselling and advised to use effective contraception for 4 months

Icon

If you have, or might have had, hepatitis B in the past, as BLENREP may cause a reactivation of the virus. Symptoms include worsening tiredness, yellowing of your skin or the white parts of your eyes, and/or dark urine

During your treatment, let your doctor know:

BLENREP has been known to cause some more severe side effects. Let your doctor know if:

You develop any breathing-related symptoms that worry you

Icon

You experience any bruising or bleeding that is unusual

Icon

You experience any symptoms up to 24 hours after your BLENREP infusion such as flushing, chills, fever, difficulty breathing, rapid heartbeat, or a drop in blood pressure

If you have, or may have had, hepatitis B in the past and experience symptoms such as worsening tiredness, yellowing of the skin or the white parts of the eyes, and/or dark urine.

Remember

Use preservative-free artificial tears. These can be provided by your care team or bought over the counter. You should use these 4x a day during treatment with BLENREP.

Please refer to the Patient Information Leaflet for more information about taking BLENREP, including blood tests before and during BLENREP treatment.

If you experience any side effects, talk to your doctor, nurse or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in the package leaflet.
